Michaela Frank

Michaela is a Zurich-based chef, curator, and visual storyteller whose signature "feel food" blends comfort, craftsmanship, and creativity. As former head chef at Kulturlokal Rank, she earned early acclaim—including 14 Gault Millau points—for her relaxed yet precise dishes (like her signature congee with kimchi and Eringer beef), live music pop-ups, and toastie takeaway station featuring miso-mayo pulled pork and Jumi cheese.
A graduate of the Fundaziun Uccelin program and with experience in Nenad Mlinarevic’s brigade, she recently returned from a touring pop-up series—cooking at Milieu on Langstrasse, Belmondo at Röschibachplatz, and even Chop Chop in Paris—serving mochi sourdough waffles, congee with tofu ragout, and more. She’s also teamed up with Sarah Madritsch at NENI Zurich for a summer guest-chef takeover on July 4-5, 2025, showcasing Asian-inspired Balagan flavors and seasonal cocktails 25hours-hotels.com. Featured on Gault Millau as the "Queen of Comfort Food" and in the podcast Gschmacksach, Michaela brings warmth, substance, and style to every project—making her an inspiring subject for atmospheric food photography.
